This Privacy Policy explains how Alternative.tips handles information used to operate, secure, measure, and improve its editorial software comparison service. Contact contact@alternative.tips with privacy questions.

Information we may process

The service may use opaque visitor and session identifiers rather than public account details. Operational records can include consent choices, referring page, landing page, UTM campaign values, outbound-click events, affiliate click tokens, administrative audit events, and synthetic test markers.

When separately enabled and permitted by consent, attribution records may include GCLID, GBRAID, or WBRAID values. Commercial reporting systems are designed to keep Google Ads cost imports, conversion candidates, protected export files, Impact action references, and commission records separate from public content. These integrations and uploads are not currently active merely because this policy describes their possible future use.

Purposes and sharing

Information is used for security, consent handling, aggregate measurement, editorial improvement, fraud prevention, affiliate attribution, and financial or administrative audit. Data is shared with a service provider only when the related feature is enabled and a documented operational purpose applies.

Retention, deletion, and test data

Retention depends on record type. Operational identifiers may be deleted, reset, or anonymized when no longer needed. Financial, security, and audit records may be retained when necessary to preserve accounting integrity, prevent abuse, or document administrative decisions. Synthetic and test records are marked separately from production activity.

Your choices and requests

You may request access, correction, consent withdrawal, or deletion through the Data Request Policy. We may need enough information to locate an opaque identifier and verify that a request is appropriately scoped. We do not offer public raw-IP lookup.
